Hand Building & Wheel Throwing Course – Adults (6 Weeks) This 6-week pottery course for adults offers a creative and immersive experience for anyone interested in exploring both hand building and wheel throwing techniques. Students can choose to focus on hand building, wheel throwing, or enjoy a combination of both throughout the course. With weekly guided sessions, students will build confidence, develop practical ceramic skills, and create a range of functional and decorative pieces in a relaxed and supportive studio environment. The course covers foundational pottery techniques including wheel throwing, pinch pots, coil building, slab construction, trimming, surface decoration, and glazing. Students are encouraged to explore their own creative style while receiving individual guidance tailored to their experience level. Course details: • Duration: 6 weeks • Class length: 2.5 hours per week • Suitable for all skill levels (ages 16+) • Choose between hand building, wheel throwing, or both • Learn techniques including pinch, coil, slab, centering, trimming, and glazing • Create a variety of functional and decorative ceramic pieces • Small class sizes for personalised support • All materials, glazing, and firing included • You will be notified when your work is ready for collection Finished works will be ready for collection approximately 2–3 weeks after the course ends.
