By booking a class, workshop, or course at Lala Art Studio, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. These are in place to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone.

Bookings & Payments

All classes, workshops, and courses must be booked and paid in full in advance.
Bookings are confirmed once payment has been received.
Class places are limited and cannot be held without payment.

Cancellations, Rescheduling & Refunds

We understand that plans can change. Please read the following carefully:

14+ days’ notice
→ Full refund, studio credit, or reschedule
7–14 days’ notice
→ 50% refund or studio credit, or reschedule
2–7 days’ notice
→ Reschedule only (no refund or credit)
Within 48 hours of your booking
→ No refund, credit, or reschedule
→ You are welcome to send someone else in your place

Failure to attend a class without notice is considered a no-show and is not refundable or transferable.

Transfers

Bookings may be transferred to another person with prior notice.
Please ensure the replacement participant meets the minimum age requirement for the class.

Minimum Age Requirements

Hand Building (Kids): 7+ years
Hand Building (Adults): 16+ years
Paint Your Pot: 5+ years

Children must be dropped off and picked up on time. Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring safe arrival and collection.

Experience Level

All workshops and courses are beginner-friendly.
No prior ceramic experience is required unless stated otherwise.

What to Wear & Bring

Please wear comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting messy
Closed-toe shoes are recommended
Bring an apron and towel if possible (aprons are available but limited)
Tie back long hair and remove jewellery where possible

Class Structure

Classes begin with a demonstration, followed by guided making time
You will have creative freedom within the techniques taught
At the end of the session, you will select glaze colours where applicable
Cleaning of tools and workspace is part of the class experience

Finished Work & Collection

Estimated turnaround times:

Hand Building Workshops & Courses: 3–4 weeks
Paint Your Pot: 2–3 weeks

Please note:

Turnaround times may vary due to kiln schedules and seasonal demand
You will be notified when your work is ready for collection
Finished works must be collected within 3 months of notification
Uncollected work may be repurposed due to limited studio storage

Ceramic Process Disclaimer

Ceramics involve multiple stages (drying, firing, glazing), and while all care is taken:

Cracks, warping, glaze variations, or breakages can occur
These outcomes are a natural part of the ceramic process
Refunds or remakes are not offered for kiln-related outcomes beyond our control

Health & Safety

Clay is safe when wet; dust from dry clay can be harmful if inhaled
The studio follows strict cleaning procedures to minimise dust
Please wipe down your workspace and pick up fallen clay
Avoid eating or drinking while glazing
Gloves are available for sensitive skin
Report any hazards or concerns immediately

A clean studio is a safer studio.

What we collect:

Name, email address, phone number, and booking details

How we use your information:

To manage bookings and communication
To notify you about classes or studio updates
Marketing emails only with your consent (you may unsubscribe anytime)

Your personal information:

Is stored securely
Is never sold or shared without consent
May be disclosed only where required by law

You may request access to or correction of your personal information at any time.

These Terms & Conditions may be updated from time to time. The most current version will always be available on our website.
